Irvine, CA – The Irvine Police Department has arrested two men after they were observed by an officer cutting a lock for a commercial storage container. Sean Anthony Alonso, 26, Irvine, and Justin Andrew Cuen, 30, Paramount, were arrested for commercial burglary and multiple drug offenses.

At approximately 5:45 a.m. on July 16, 2015, an Irvine Police officer was patrolling in the area of Jeffrey Road and the I-5 freeway when he observed two male suspects using bolt cutters to cut a storage container lock behind a supermarket. The storage container was full of recyclables. The officer requested additional police units and made contact with the two suspects.

The license plate on the suspect’s vehicle was covered with a towel. During a search of the vehicle, the suspects were found to be in possession of methamphetamine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, identity theft paperwork, and burglary tools.

Both suspects were arrested at the scene.
