  Question: What do I do if online incident reporting is not right for me?
Answer: If your incident is an emergency, call 911.
If non-emergency call 949-724-7000.

  Question: If the incident happened in another city, can I file my report using the Irvine Police Department online reporting system?
Answer: No. If a crime or incident took place outside the City of Irvine, you will need to contact the law enforcement agency for the city or county it took place in.

  Question: What if this happened on a state freeway?
Answer: If this took place on a state Freeway please call the California Highway Patrol Office nearest you.

  Question: What is a "known suspect?"
Answer: When you or someone else knows the person or knows where to find the person who committed the crime, or knows the license plate number of the vehicle a person was in who committed the crime, they are a "known suspect."
