IRVINE, CA (January 16, 2014): The Irvine Fine Arts Center is pleased to present AFTER IMAGE, an exhibition featuring 13 Southern California-based artists that emphasize transforming the photographic image through various media. Exhibition artists include: Steven Criqui, Lola del Fresno, DFK (Frank Dixon, Daniella Foletto, Shunta Kobayashi), David DiMichele, Clayton Ehman, Mary Heebner, Michael John Kelly, Spencer Lewis, Diane Meyer, Donnie Molls and Christopher Pate.

The advent of digital printing and inkjet technology has created greater opportunities for photographers and other artists to experiment. Artists are able to go beyond traditional practices and formats by branching out into painting, print making, ceramics and other mediums. 

After Image is the fifth exhibition in a series at the Irvine Fine Arts Center that focus on the breadth of media explored by contemporary artists. Previous exhibitions have featured painting, photography, printmaking and ceramics.
