Irvine Child Care Committee Seeks Applicants

The City of Irvine is accepting applications for two volunteer parent vacancies on the Irvine Child Care Committee (comprised of 14 members: five City Council appointees; two community child care providers; two parents /guardians and five agency representatives). The Committee serves in an advisory capacity to both the Community Services Commission and the Irvine City Council by identifying child care needs, early care and education concerns and by evaluating the availability of quality, affordable child care within the community.

Applicants must live or work in the City of Irvine and be willing to commit to a two-year term of active volunteer participation.  Committee meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month from 8:45-10:15 a.m. at the Child Resource Center.
