Irvine Senior Citizens Council Seeking Applicants to Fill Openings

The City of Irvine is accepting applications for two Member-At-Large positions on the Irvine Senior Citizens Council.  The Senior Council is comprised of seven members; five of which are appointed by each member of the Irvine City Council, and two Member-At-Large positions selected through a public recruitment process. The Senior Council acts in an advisory capacity to the Irvine City Council on matters related to older adults, including the planning of facilities, transportation, services and programs for the senior community.

Applicants must reside in the City of Irvine, be 55 years of age at the time of his/her appointment and be willing to commit to a two-year term of active service beginning November 2011. Senior Citizen Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Lakeview Senior Center.
