Park Planning

The City of Irvine Community Development Department is undertaking development of a Parks and Facilities Master Plan, essentially a comprehensive update to Irvine’s Community Parks Master Plan. The Community Parks Master Plan was originally adopted in 1988 as an implementation tool for siting community parks and determining the appropriate types of amenities for the proposed parks anticipated in the Parks and Recreation Element of the General Plan. In September 2014, the City initiated the process to prepare the Parks and Facilities Master Plan. This plan will evaluate park and recreation amenity needs for the future.

The City of Irvine is committed to providing a transparent, comprehensive and inclusive planning process and encourages your input into the project.
