Medicare and HMO Consultations are available at the Lakeview Senior Center through Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy (HICAP).

Medicare and Medicaid are joint federal and state programs that help to provide medical care for eligible senior, disabled, or needful citizens. Medical assistance eligibility is based mainly on eligibility for Social Security. These programs help pay charges for hospitalization, stays in skilled nursing facilities, physicians' charges, and some associated health costs. There are limitations on the length of stay and type of care.
