Follow these safety tips in the event of a power outage.
Always keep a flashlight and batteries in a place where they will be easy to find.
Turn off any lights or other devices that were in use when the power went out. Be sure to leave one light on so that you will know when the power is restored.
Do not start a fire to keep warm.
Try to keep refrigerator and freezer doors closed to help keep food cold and fresh.
