| News Details | City of Irvine Seeking Community Input3/13/2012 The City of Irvine is hosting several public meetings to gather community input regarding the Strategic Plan for Children, Youth and Families. The City will use this important feedback to help update the next phase of the plan.
The current plan focuses on six priority areas: child care and school readiness, health and fitness, underage drinking, support to families in need, volunteerism and community service, and children's mental health.
The City is seeking stakeholder input to identify continuing and emerging areas of need, and to gather ideas for strategies to address those needs.
Meeting dates, times and topic areas are as follows:
Monday, March 26 Topic: Support to Families in Need 6-8 p.m., Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine
Monday, April 2 Topic: Child Care and School Readiness 6-8 p.m., Lakeview Senior Center, 20 Lake Road, Irvine
Thursday, April 19 Topic: Juvenile Drinking and Drug Prevention 6-8 p.m., Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine
Monday, April 23 Topic: Health, Fitness & Well-being 6-8 p.m., Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine
Tuesday, May 15 Topic: All Areas Community Overview 6-8 p.m., Irvine Civic Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine
