Autism Education: Teaching the Visual Learner with Technology

The City of Irvine will host a free "Autism Education: Understanding and Teaching the Visual Learner with Technology" forum for educators, therapists and other professionals on Thursday, May 9 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center.

Presented by Dr. Howard Shane, a pioneer in augmentative and alternative communication from Harvard Medical School and founder of Children's Hospital, Boston’s Autism Language Program, the presentation will focus on the benefits of using technology-based solutions to enhance learning and communication skills for children on the autism spectrum.
