The City of Irvine is hosting an educational presentation for parents, titled “Get Your Child to Cooperate without Threats, Bribes or Consequences” on Thursday, April 24 from 6-9 p.m. at the Irvine Civic Center.

Presented by Laura Markham, Ph.D., author of Peaceful Parent, Happy Kids and creator of ahaparenting.com, the program imparts parents with practical, everyday strategies to promote cooperation, diffuse oppositional behavior and help children become self-disciplined.
