Veterans Cemetery Committee Meeting June 13

The inaugural meeting of the Ad Hoc State Veterans Cemetery Committee will take place at 2:30 p.m. on June 13.  The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Irvine Civic Center. The Irvine City Council adopted Resolution No. 14-27, supporting the passage of Assembly Bill 1453 to establish a Southern California Veterans Cemetery in Orange County and expressing the City Council's interest in providing land for a State veterans cemetery, with recommendations to be developed by the Ad Hoc Committee.  Appointed City Council representatives to the Ad Hoc Committee are Mayor Steven S. Choi and Mayor Pro Tem Jeffrey Lalloway.
