| News Details | Third Annual International Film Festival - Human Rights 200310/2/2003 The United Nations Association proudly presents two days of international cinema at the International Film Festival – Human Rights 2003. Now in it’s third year, event will take place October 24-25 with screenings being shown at the University of California, Irvine, (UCI) and the Irvine Civic Center. Festival highlights include: - opening ceremonies with Irvine Mayor Larry Agran
- seven documentaries introduced by the films’ directors, producers, or associated actors
- keynote address by Terree Bowers, Chief Deputy L.A. City Attorney and former war crimes tribunal prosecutor for Yugoslavia and Rwanda
The festival begins Friday, October 24, 7:30 p.m., at the Film and Video Center located at the 100 Humanities Instructional Building on the UCI campus, and continues through Saturday, October 25, 1:30 p.m., at the Irvine Civic Center located at 1 Civic Center Plaza, Irvine.
Film screenings include: Face Off (South Korea) The Kidnapping of Ingrid Bentancourt (Columbia) Leche & Mala Leche (Mexico) Living in Conflict (Israel and Palestine) Plan Columbia (Columbia) Sir Alfred (Iran) Bentancourt (Columbia)
Tickets will be sold both days on the premises. Advanced tickets can be purchased: Admission prices:
$10 per day ($14 two-day) for the general public $8 per day ($12 two-day) for students and seniors with proper identification
Parking:
UCI parking is $5 Irvine Civic Center parking is free
