Target Symphony in the Cities Concert

Featuring Orange County's Pacific Symphony Orchestra

7/25/2006

The 2006 Target Symphony in the Cities Concert Series returns to Irvine Heritage Park on Sunday, July 30 at 6 p.m. Part of a four-part concert series sponsored by Target, the free concert features light pop and classical tunes, patriotic music, and guest artists, plus a pre-concert "musical playground" for children including a conducting clinic where participants will have the opportunity to assist Maestro Carl St. Clair with conducting a portion of the concert.

Taking on an international flair, this year's orchestral performances celebrate "The Good Life" in Italy, France, Spain and here at home. The works chosen are colorful and largely jovial pieces that express the rich musical heritage and joy of these nations.

Presenting more than 80 concerts a year and a rich array of education and community programs, the Pacific Symphony has played a central role in the spectacular growth of performing arts in Orange County – reaching more than 50,000 residents.
