The Irvine Fine Arts Center is pleased to announce a new exhibition, Art of Ink III - Contemporary Calligraphy and Seal Carvings. It will be on view from October 9 through 29, 2005.

This exhibition will feature the current Oriental calligraphic works and seal carvings of Korean-American artist Dr. Sun Wuk Kim. Dr. Kim has devoted over forty years to become a renowned calligrapher with his own unique style. Modernizing the traditional practice of this ancient art form, Dr. Kim creates fresh interpretations of ancient Chinese scripts, using unconventional colors and formats. Dr. Kim writes…

“…It is my personal wish to move away from the confines of traditional oriental calligraphy and create a new form of art that will touch and fire the hearts of people around the modern world.”
