Youth Skate Jam

8/14/2007

"Learn to Ride" is the theme for the City of Irvine's first ever Youth Skate Jam on Saturday, August 18 from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Harvard Skate Park. Co-sponsored by Active, the free family event features an informal skateboarding clinic with local pros, exhibitions from amateur and pro skateboarding teams, giveaways from top skateboarding companies, a bounce house and slide, food and autograph sessions.

Geared toward skateboarders age 12 and younger, Youth Skate Jam is a great opportunity for beginners to develop basic skills in a fun, safe and comfortable environment.

Pre-registration is required. Skaters interested in participating in the skateboarding clinic must supply their own helmet and knee and elbow pads, along with a parent-signed waiver. For more information or to register, call 949-724-6715, visit www.IrvineAthletics.org or stop by your local Active store located at 3851 Alton Parkway.
