| Wall of Recognition | | | William Pereira | | | Council of Communities | | | Council of Communities - Residents from the four existing homeowner associations and others banded together to form the Council of Communities of Irvine (CCI) to represent the residential, commercial, educational and industrial communities as well as the major landowners and to address the complex annexation issues facing the new master planned community. Incorporation was endorsed in late 1970; the City of Irvine officially becoming Orange County’s 28th city on December 28, 1971. |
