The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Massy Alavi | | | Distinguished Citizen | | | Since coming to the United States from Iran in the early 1980s, Massy Alavi has resided in Irvine for the past 15 years. Massy has volunteered her time/effort in support of many community organizations since the early 1990s and has averaged 100 hours of service per week. In 1995, Massy founded the NEDA Iranian Senior group and offered displaced Iranian seniors a time to socialize and share. NEDA has served approximately 300 Iranian seniors per month. In 2005, Massy was one of five persons recognized by the O.C. Human Relations Commission for her exemplary service. |
