The City of Irvine appreciates the service of the following honoree:
| Wall of Recognition | | | Community Partner | | | Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee | | | Formed in 2007, the Irvine 2/11 Marine Adoption Committee supports the 2nd Battalion 11th Marine Regiment 1st Marine Division from Camp Pendleton. The committee was formed with the specific purpose of providing charitable and educational activities and support for the benefit and welfare of the United States Marines and their families assigned to the base. The committee has 20 active members who provide holiday events for the Marines/sailors and their families, care packages, toy and food drives. Over the past five years they've raised over $125,000 and contributed 1,000+ hours of service in support of the young men and women that serve our country. The command has roughly 750 Marines and Sailors assigned to it. |
