Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial was dedicated by the City of Irvine and Northwood Gratitude and Honor Memorial, Inc., on November 14, 2010. The Memorial, at Northwood Community Park in Irvine (corner of Bryan and Yale Avenues), honors every fallen service member in Afghanistan and Iraq. It was the first permanent Memorial in the country dedicated to these service members. The initial 17 panels, on 5 sentinels, held 5,714 names.
