1 Sundance Drive Bonita Canyon Elementary School is located at the corner of Sundance and Turtle Rock Drive.On Sundance the recommended drop-off/pick-up area is on the school side curb.This area is posted with signs that state “No Parking, Loading Zone 7AM to 4PM.”This is a good area to drop-off/pick-up students because they don’t have to cross any streets. The area on Sundance across the street from the school is not posted with any signs.This area can be utilized for parking or student drop-off/pick-up.If you drop-off a student at this location please direct them to cross at the crosswalk.The street is posted with signs that prohibit pedestrians from legally crossing at any location other than the crosswalk.The purpose is to reduce the risk of students conflicting with vehicles in the road. Another good area to drop-off/pick-up students for Bonita Canyon Elementary School is on Turtle Rock Drive.The area that borders the school is not posted with any signs.This makes it legal to drop-off/pick-up in this area.Be aware that in order to drop-off/pick-up in this area you have to enter the bicycle lane.Be sure to use caution and yield to bicyclists who are utilizing the lane.Using this location to drop-off/pick-up may prevent you from getting tied up in the traffic congestion on Sundance. *Remember, when you use the loading area you may not abandon your vehicle.If you do, you will be in violation of the “No Parking” restriction and may be cited. 5151 Amalfi Turtle Rock Elementary School is in the area of Turtle Rock Drive and Amalfi.The area on Amalfi that borders the school is posted in various locations to read “No Parking, Loading Zone 7AM to 4PM.”This is a good location to drop-off/pick-up students so they don’t have to cross any roads.The area across the street from the school on Amalfi is not posted.This means it is legal to park or drop-off/pick-up at this location.If you drop-off/pick-up students at this location please direct them to use the crosswalk so they are not conflicting with traffic in the road. The parking lot of Turtle Rock Elementary School is painted with directional arrows that direct the traffic flow in the lot.If you use the lot please follow the direction of the traffic flow arrows. Another good place to drop-off/pick-up students for Turtle Rock Elementary School is on Turtle Rock Drive where it borders the school. There is no posting prohibiting drop-off/pick-up in this area.Using this location may prevent you from getting tied up in the traffic congestion on Amalfi. *Remember, when you use the loading area you may not abandon your vehicle.If you do, you will be in violation of the “No Parking” restriction and may be cited. 4572 Sandburg University Park Elementary School is in the Area of Sandburg and Michelson.The school side of the street on Sandburg is posted “No Parking, Loading Zone 7AM to 4PM.”This is a recommended area to drop-off/pick-up students. Sandburg across the street from the school is not posted with any signs from Michelson to near the area of Lexicon.This means that parking and drop-off/pick-up would be allowed in this area.Remember, if you drop off or pick up your children at this location you should instruct them to use the crosswalk.There are signs posted which prohibit pedestrians from crossing from this location towards the school.Additionally, this southbound side of the road is posted with signs that prohibit u-turns in the area.There are also little private parking lots just west of Sandburg, across from the school.These areas are parking by permit only for the local residents. The area of Michelson that borders the school is posted with signs that indicate “No Parking, Loading Zone, Tow Away.”You may drop-off/pick-up students at this location. *Remember, when you use the loading area you may not abandon your vehicle.If you do, you will be in violation of the “No Parking” restriction and may be cited. 5144 Michelson Vista Verde School has a traffic flow plan that runs through the school parking lot.You enter the lot by way of the west entrance, and then follow the arrows through the lot.The arrows direct you through the lot and take you back to Michelson at the east driveway.There is a student drop-off/pick-up area in the lot.Once at that location you have the option of turning right or left out onto Michelson. The school side of Michelson directly in front of the school is posted with signs that prohibit stopping at that location.This means you can neither stop nor park at this location. There is another area that may be used for student drop-off/pick-up.This is the area on the east side of the school, off of Rosa Drew.This area prohibits parking between 7PM and 6AM, which should not interfere with school traffic. 6 Federation Vista Verde K-8 School has a traffic flow plan that runs through the school parking lot. You enter by way of the main (western) entrance on the south side of Federation Way, and then follow the arrows onto the campus, where you will have the option of either utilizing the drop-off zone adjacent to the school or circulating through the parking lot. Whether you are departing the drop-off zone or the parking lot, all exiting traffic will exit from the eastern driveway (nearer to the cul-de-sac) on Federation way. Keep in mind that this site has been designed for one-way flow only; thus vehicles (except for buses) will be prohibited from using the bus access area along Federation, or from entering the campus via the east driveway. Both sides of Federation Way have been signed for “No Parking” so as to keep the street as congestion-free as possible. This means that you cannot park anywhere on either side of Federation Way. Please be considerate of our neighbor schools across the street, where there will also be children in attendance. Using the drop-off zone on our school campus will help to minimize congestion on Federation Way during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up times.
